Holly Carpenter announces engagement

Love really is in the air.

Holly Carpenter is the latest Irish celeb to announce their engagement this summer.

With the sun splitting the rocks this weekend, it seems like everyone in Ireland took to the outdoors.

And Holly was no different!

Holly headed to the Poolbeg Lighthouse for some sunrise yoga with her partner, Jamie.

However, it wasn’t just a gorgeous workout that she was in for on Friday morning. No the love of her life got down on one knee and popped the question.

She shared pictures of the moment on Instagram with the caption: “10/05/24 Our most special sunrise stroll yet. Here’s to forever.”

The former Miss Ireland was inundated with congratulatory messages from her friends and followers.

“Awww I’m so happy for you both,” Síle Seoige wrote.

“Omg! So happy for you both,” Paddy Smyth commented.

“This is great news congratulations Holly xxxxx,” Glenda Gilson added.

Holly previously spoke to VIP Magazine about her relationship and her decision to keep their relationship private.

“I was pretty much single for a few years. I hadn’t posted any photo of any boyfriend since 2015 or something! I knew I wanted to wait until we were fully in it. I got a lot of messages from people saying how happy they were for me. People have been really sweet.

“I don’t talk much about how we’re doing or what our plans are. But Jamie will pop up in my Instagram Story if we’re out for lunch or if we’re walking Max. I like to keep my Stories to what I’m actually up to. It would be weird, to a degree, that two years in he wasn’t making an appearance.

“It is funny because he wasn’t on my Story for a few weeks and I heard people were saying that we broke up. I was like: ‘What?’.”
