Garnacho scored in the 3-0 win against Leicester but then refused to celebrate
It comes days after Garnacho was engaged in a frosty exchange with another fan prior to the midweek Europa League game against PAOK in which the Argentine was told he doesn't pass to team-mates enough.
It has been an up-and-down campaign so far for him having missed a series of big chances in the Premier League and he lost his place here to Marcus Rashford.
Garnacho refused to celebrate his 8nd minute goal against Leicester as he believes fans have lost faith in him, according to club captain Bruno Fernandes.
Gernandes explained that the youngster needs to build his confidence back up.
'Garnacho scored a banger but didn't celebrate like he should because he thinks he has lost faith from some fans,' Fernandes told the BBC.
'I told him people will always moan but lots of people like you and enjoy what you do.
It comes after Garnacho snapped at YouTuber Planet Faz after he tried to give the Manchester United star advice outside Old Trafford
'I told him to celebrate, it was something special. He is a special player and we have difference makers. They are the ones who win us games.
'We want them to score every game but that isn't going to happen.'
