Some would say the GAA have saved the best until last with this clash.
Dublin v Mayo will be the final All-Ireland Senior Football Championship quarter-final to take place this weekend after the meetings of Kerry v Tyrone, Armagh v Monaghan and Derry v Cork.
These great rivals have had some legendary battles over the years and nothing but another cracking encounter is expected this afternoon.
The Dubs secured top place in their group to reach the last eight after wins against Kildare and Sligo, as well as a draw with Roscommon.
However, Mayo's route to this stage of the Championship was not as straightforward.
The Westerners looked to be heading for top spot in their group going into the final round of games, but suffered a surprise loss to Cork, which saw them finish third in the end.
That led to a tricky trip to Salthill last weekend to face their neighbours Galway, with Kevin McStay's side running out winners by a single point.
