Discounts on brands like Ninja air fryers, Shark vacuums and Apple products are exclusively available to Amazon Prime members. This means that even if you have a basic Amazon account, you could miss out of the best deals that are exclusively available to Prime subscribers.

Despite the name, Amazon Prime Day actually lasts for a full 48 hours from midnight on Tuesday, July 11 until 11.59pm on Wednesday, July 12. Luckily, there is still time to sign up for an Amazon Prime account to get your hands on some great discounts - you just need to visit the Amazon website.

Once you sign up and search for some of your favourite products, the website will be able notify you of deals tailored to your tastes. Shoppers can subscribe to the service on a mobile or computer device and instructions differ slightly for each one.

A Prime membership is £8.99 per month, or £95 per year, but once you sign up you will be given a free 30 day trial and only charged after this period. Amazon offers discount membership options for certain people, including students that offer the same Prime benefits like fast, free delivery and exclusive perks.

For even easier shopping, users can also download the Amazon app, available on Google Play and the Apple store.
