Amazon Prime Day 2023 is here and runs until midnight on 12th July, offering 48 hours of savings on everything from Fashion and Home to Toys, Electronics, and more.

Prime members can shop millions of deals this Prime Day, on everything they need for summer and beyond. Customers can discover more deals than any past Prime Day, including top products from much-loved brands and small businesses. Customers can join Prime or start a free trial to participate.

In a first this year, Prime members in the UK will have the opportunity to buy unmissable, once-in-a-lifetime Prime experiences including:

The chance to go on set with the cast of Neighbours in Australia Head into the recording studio with McFly Get business mentoring from Sara Davies MBE. Football training with Yaya Touré Join Mob and Big Zuu in the kitchen

Prime Experiences celebrate the very best of Amazon Prime, from Amazon Music, Prime Video and Amazon Fresh to fast, reliable delivery and the opportunity to buy from thousands of small businesses in the UK.

If you’re registered with Brand Registry or Amazon Handmade and your business is eligible to be identified as a Small Business in the Amazon store, all products within your registered brands will now automatically receive the new Small Business Badge. If you are a shopper, look out for the Small Business Badge and you’ll know your purchase is supporting a small business owner.

As you’d expect, there are a slew of deals from Amazon on offer and a couple of real bargains that caught our eye are:

Echo Pop £17.99 (Normally £44.99)

Swan Alexa Smart Kettle £59.00 (Previously sold by Amazon at £84.99 but RRP is £99.99)

Ninja Air Fryer £169.99 (Previously sold by Amazon at £269.99)

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 5G Smartphone £599.00 (Previously sold by Amazon at £899.00 but RRP is £999.99)

What will be interesting this year is to see how consumers react to Prime Day. After growing in scale year on year, we’re now well and truly out of the bumper pandemic years for ecommerce and in an era of spiralling costs and spending constraints. With many having gotten used to government handouts throughout the pandemic and energy crisis, the free handouts have come to an end, inflation still hasn’t been bought under control and rapidly rising interest rates are eating into monthly pay checks… or soon will regardless whether you have a mortgage or when your next rent review comes around.

But this is Amazon and we’ve become accustomed to mega sales, and breaking records has in part been helped in recent years by launching Prime Day in ever more territories around the world, bringing new shoppers to the party. However the real test will be when you sit down in two day’s time and compare your sales over Prime Day 2023 with previous years.
