Andrew Porter hilariously stared down the camera as he basked in the glory of Ireland's win over Scotland at the Rugby World Cup.

Porter was substituted early in the second-half with the crucial win over Scotland well and truly wrapped up after a stunning first-half which saw Ireland head to the break 26-0.

With Ireland 31-0 up at the 53rd minute mark, the camera panned to Porter on the bench.

The loosehead prop decided to have a little fun with fans at home as he kept looking away from the camera before darting his eyes back down the lens.

He does this on a number of occasions with a hint of a smile behind the Leinster star's steely expression.

The move went down a storm with fans online who loved Porter's antics on the bench.

"Soooooo funny," said Aoife on X along with a string of laughing face emojis.

"Hahahahahahah Andrew Porter messin with the camera is classic," said another user.

While another said "Andrew Porter’s double take take at the camera when he was on the bench," along with a couple of laughing emojis.

"Andrew porter that is comedy gold" said another user.

While there was a chance for Ireland's players to have a little bit of fun given the comfortable nature of the game, next week's quarter-final clash with the All-Blacks promises to be a much more serious affair and captain Jonathan Sexton is certainly expecting Ireland's toughest game of the tournament.

"I thought it wouldn't get any better after South Africa a couple of weeks ago but they have proved me wrong again, it's incredible, they keep turning up for us and it is important that we keep turning up for them," Sexton said.

"Last week they gave us the best day of our life and we gave them something similar if you look around at some of the faces.

"We are delighted to win the pool, but we know this is where we want to be now in a quarter-final against the toughest opposition we could get.

"The way the draw was made three years ago it turned out a bit unfair but it is the hand that we were dealt and we have to be ready for New Zealand next week."
