Ange Postecoglou has breathed new life into the air at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which was further showcased by one of his admissions after the win over Sheffield United. Spurs left it very late to maintain their unbeaten Premier League start with both Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski scoring in added time to seal an unthinkable comeback victory.

With Wes Foderingham continuing to repel efforts from Spurs, after Gustavo Hamer had given the Blades a shock lead, it looked as though it was just going to be one of those days for Postecoglou and his players. However, a flurry of substitutions changed the game with Richarlison, Ivan Perisic and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg all playing a role in the two late strikes.

The victory took Spurs onto 13 points from five games, level with Arsenal and Liverpool, and just two off Manchester City who have enjoyed a perfect start to the new campaign. Being knocked out of the Carabao cup is the only blemish thus far, but Spurs have looked sharp in league action with Postecoglou's front foot style being welcomed by both players and fans.

Over the last few seasons, supporters have been forced to watch a pragmatic style of football, and while that often did improve the chances of a victory, it was extremely boring to watch. Following the departure of Harry Kane just days before the start of the season, Spurs fans needed something to be excited about again and in just over a month, Postecoglou has given them exactly that.

In the aftermath of the jubilation on Saturday, supporters and players alike probably felt as though they were unstoppable. However, on the touch line, Postecoglou was more focused on organising his back four in the moments after Kulusevski's strike hit the back of the net. And while he did not lose control, he gave the perfect message to those in the stands after the last few years.

"No, no, no, let them go, let them enjoy it," he said to SpursTV when asked if it was his job to manage expectations. "I've said this before, my role is not to burst peoples' bubbles. Let them get excited and ahead of themselves, that's the beauty of being a supporter.

"They go through enough pain, let them enjoy and if they think we're going to be world-beaters great, it's then up to us to match those expectations. Our supporters deserve to have some happiness and they can enjoy it anyway they want to."

Normally in those situations, the expected response from a manager is 'we can't get ahead of ourselves' or 'take one game at a time' - and in this specific case, 'it's early days' would not appear an out of character answer. Yet Postecoglou is not doing any of that. He wants supporters to dream about the unimaginable, hope for the impossible and reach for the unattainable.

Finally, after years of pain watching their football club, supporters have been told they can think about winning the big prizes and who's to say it can't actually be done. No one thought Arsenal would be locked in the Premier League title race last season, yet that was where they fought to be and there is simply no reason why Spurs cannot push for the same ambitions.

The next two weeks will be a true test of character and resolve for this new-look Spurs team as they take on Arsenal and Liverpool, but there is a real optimism going into both games that obtaining six points isn't entirely out of the equation and that all stems from the manager and the players. Spurs have gone behind three times already this season, but have come back to claim seven points from losing positions and that fight was clear for all to see this past weekend.

Postecoglou has the north London faithful on cloud nine at the moment, and there is no reason why they cannot stay there if results continue on the pitch. As the season progresses, perhaps more people will start to truly believe the Australian can end the 15-year trophy drought.
