Patrick introduced Angela saying: "She is an Irish broadcaster who recently landed a new show on Virgin Radio and once hosted a chat show here on RTE."

Referencing the show's previous host, Ryan Tubridy, who also has his own Virgin Radio UK show, the Down native cheekily added: "No, not that broadcaster."

Angela barely sat down on the chair for a second before she quickly responded to his quip saying: "I got the gig first, can I say, over there at least."

Patrick was confused and thought she was speaking about working on Robot Wars with Dara and said: "Okay, so this is the gig where when you guys worked together behind bulletproof glass?"

Angela replied: "That was a reference to your little punchy saucy joke on the intro."

Patrick looked stunned as he attempted to steer the conversation saying: "Oh no, not at all. Not at all, because you're doing Graham's new show."

Angela, hell bent-bent on mentioning Ryan, replied: "Yes, Tubs is there as well."

Patrick replied: "Yes, exactly, and Tubs is there."

The 40-year-old asked while laughing: "Do we not talk about him on this?"

Patrick responded saying: "Oh no, we can. I didn't…"

Angela interrupted him and shouted out jokingly saying: "He who shall not be named."

Patrick joined in on the fun and joked that Tubs was coming out as a "surprise guest at the end", before he swiftly changed the subject.

Angela was also left fighting back tears as she bravely opened up about her eating disorder.

The mum-of-two now voicing a new documentary on RTE called Anorexia, My Family and Me - which is airing next Monday, October 14, at 9.35pm on RTE One.

Angela struggled with anorexia and bulimia for 15 years, starting from her late teens.

STAR'S STRUGGLE

The series follows the stories of three families who are all struggling with the eating disorder.

Angela opened up about why she felt it was important to front the show saying: "I struggled with anorexia and bulimia for 15 years. It felt like a really important thing to do because I think it hasn't been spoken about very openly in very many forms.

"And certainly when I was in the thick of it, I don't remember switching on a telly and ever feeling like there was a kind of story that I could relate to."

Angela admitted she didn't speak about her struggle for a long time because she was "nervous".

The mum-of-two explained: "I didn't know whether talking about it would bring it back unwanted attention or scrutiny.

"And if I'm honest, I didn't feel strong enough to talk about it because I think, you want a certain level of distance between it so that you can speak about it without being highly emotional or triggered.

"And that feels a bit more helpful or a bit safer. So it took time for me to feel like I could write it down in a way that was comfortable, truthfully."
