Angela Scanlon Returns To Strictly After Big 40th Trip

The holidays are officially over for Angela- seasonal and literal- as she has returned from the sun to the Strictly studio to gear up for the 2024 tour.

Appearing alongside her professional dancing partner Carlos, Angela shared a short video from the studio and declared: 'We're back.'

'I'm back with the tan to beat all tans,' she joked, poking fun at her stereotypical Irish skin which was as pale as ever despite her sunny break. 'We have been tangoing,' she continued, confirming that their highest-scoring dance will be performed on tour.

'We're very excited about the tour,' Carlos added before Angela shared a snippet of the two rehearsing the fan-favourite dance.

She confirmed that she too is a fan of the tango, captioning the clip, 'doing the tour just so I can dance this 100 more times before I die.' She explained to fans in a Q&A how it feels to perform the tango, writing, 'the music is incredible and choreography too. It's such a gorgeous dance to perform because it literally feels like there's no one watching.'

'It never gets old,' she continued, 'but on tour we're planning to push it so that it gets better and better. Argentine tango is about lead/follow so doing that a bit more spontaneously which I can't wait for.'

'So so lovely to be back with this one & everyone!!' she wrote over a picture of her and Carlos beaming after what looked like a successful day of rehearsals. Angela also revealed that her Charleston would be making an appearance on the Strictly tour too.

Rehearsals come as a change of pace for the presenter who recently celebrated her 40th birthday.

The newly-turned-40-year-old whisked her family off for a holiday in the sun sharing her version of New Year resolutions there, as well as some gorgeous family pics.
