How DWTS Is Making Custom "Outfits" for Anna Delvey's Ankle ...

In case you hadn’t noticed, fake heiress and con artist Anna Delvey (or, as ABC described her, “fashionista and entrepreneur”) is currently competing on Dancing With the Stars with her ankle monitor—which seems to be getting dressed in its own special “outfits” to match the 33-year-old.

Obviously, society has questions, and both Anna and the DWTS costume department are here to answer them.

During a convo with Page Six, Anna (who is technically under house arrest in NYC, but received permission to film the show in LA) said, “Well, we collaborated with the costume department. Obviously, we could not leave the ankle bracelet naked, so we decided to match it. And it’s like a little sleeve.”

She then went on to note that “people were complaining” about rhinestones being stuck to the monitor itself, but that they were, in fact, applied to fabric. Ya know, in case you were stressed.

Meanwhile, WWD spoke to DWTS costume designer Daniela Gschwendtner ahead of the premiere, who said, “We’ll try to probably do something fun with it—make it sparkly, maybe. We’re going to try and do something fun with it so it becomes part of the costume. The costume itself won’t be affected by it.” She went on to note that they’ll “try to do something cute with it to make it look all pretty together” and maintained, “Our costumes are really prepared for a lot of things. I don’t foresee that anklet being any issue on any of the costumes we’re going to do.”
