Disgraced 'Call Me by Your Name' Actor Armie Hammer Just ...
Armie Hammer has made his official return to social media.
The embattled actor posted on Instagram, breaking a long silence. The post shows the inside of a moving train where a laptop is playing a video of a man running beside a horse.
Hammer was a fairly beloved actor, at least in gay circles, known for starring as Oliver in the 2017 gay romantic, coming-of-age drama Call Me by Your Name, directed by out director Luca Guadagnino and co-starring a still up-and-coming Timothée Chalamet.
But all of that fanfare came crashing down in early 2021 when several women accused him of sexually harassing them and having violent sexual fantasies that included cannibalism.

The texts include talking about wanting to do things like “breaking your bones,” “cut a piece of your skin off and make you cook it for me,” “I want to see your brain, your blood, your organs, every part of you,” and “I need your blood. I want you to feed me with it.”
He was also accused of raping a woman in 2017.
Hammer denied any claims that he sexually assaulted anyone, but admitted that he has a “very intense and extreme lifestyle.” He said that all encounters with women he had were “completely consensual” and “discussed and agreed upon in advance.”
After the accusations and legal troubles, Hammer withdrew from the public spotlight and dropped out of several movies and projects he was scheduled to star in. He entered rehab facilities and programs and was allegedly working with a sober companion.
“I’m here to own my mistakes, take accountability for the fact that I was an assh*le, that I was selfish, that I used people to make me feel better, and when I was done, moved on,” Hammer said in a February 2023 interview with Air Mail. “I’m now a healthier, happier, more balanced person. I’m able to be there for my kids in a way I never was. I’m truly grateful for my life and my recovery and everything. I would not go back and undo everything that’s happened to me.”
He has been mostly out of the spotlight since. But now, it appears he’s ready to make his return.
