Bank of Ireland bosses have been given the go-ahead to install a new ATM and new internal secure room to facilitate a second cash dispensing facility inside.
Bank of Ireland bosses have been given the green light to carry out extensive renovations to its Navan based branch offices.
Senior officials lodged plans last July for a new external ATM and illuminated surround panel along with the construction of a new internal secure ATM room.
The works, which were approved subject to five conditions involve lowering a portion of the bank’s existing internal floor to accommodate the external accessibility level of the new ATM.
Local authority chiefs wrote to senior executives from the bank last August requesting further information seeking a revised design of the proposed ATM to omit any impacts on the building which is classed as a protected structure.
In February, architects on behalf of the bank told of how discussions had taken place as to whether an internal solution could be considered.
The revised design submitted involved designs concerning a new internal ATM room off the existing entrance lobby which it was contended had “no impact” on the building’s protected structure.
