Customers attempting to use the app were met with an error message saying: “The SSL certificate is invalid. The server cannot be trusted.”
The bank said on its British and Irish Twitter pages that it would open several of its branches in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland tomorrow.
Some 91 branches in the Republic will be open between 10am and 2pm tomorrow.
We wish to advise customers that 91 of our branches will open tomorrow between 10am and 2pm. Once again we wish to apologise to customers who have experienced difficulty in accessing our Banking 365 and mobile banking services today.

We are working to fix this issue as quickly as possible and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
The timing of the issue is far from ideal as many customers will be seeking to check their bank balance and salaries on the last Friday of the month.
