The clips showed snippets of the conversation between the DJ and Johnny “B” O’Brien with his co-host Johnny “Smacks” McMahon appearing absent.

‘I’m in bed with Basshunter lads, it feels good,’ Johnny said before asking him what he preferred being called.

‘Bass? Mr Hunter?’ he offered, with the Swede answering: ‘Call me Jonas, but not the brothers afterwards because then I’ll f****ng kill you.’

The next clip saw the the musician putting on an impeccable Northern Ireland accent, ‘Have ya been to the wee North there?’

‘Where in Ireland do you think are the craziest?’ Johnny asked, with the DJ giving the accolade to those from Carrick-on-Shannon.

He then proceeded to ‘ramble’ in a Donegal accent, which was just as impressive as the Northern Ireland accent.

Johnny then wondered what Basshunter’s take on Irish college parties was, as the musician has been a frequent headliner for college nights out across the country.

He is set to play Cork’s Cyprus Avenue on October 18, but has also performed across Ireland including a Valentine’s gig in former Limerick nightclub, Habitat and a number of times in Athlone.

More recently, Basshunter was at the Gaelic Grounds for The Big Day Out 90s v 00s which took place a the end of August in Limerick.

‘They literally called me like, Basshunter is the spawn of Satan,’ he said to Johnny, who noted: ‘You wouldn’t get that in Carrick-On-Shannon.’

‘Here now,’ the musician said, reverting back to the Northern Ireland accent, ‘You won’t get that in Northern Ireland either.’

‘Sorry, there have been a bit of alcohol consumption tonight, just for your information,’ Basshunter confirmed at the conclusion of the teaser clip.

Social media users took to the comments section with a mix of people sharing anecdotes from their time attending Basshunter gigs in Ireland as well as praising the Swedish DJ for his Irish accents.

One wondered: ‘Is he Irish?’

Another praised: ‘His northern Irish accent is really very impressive for a Scandinavian’ which prompted a reply from a third to explain: ‘He lives in Belfast, or did for a while at least.’

A fourth commented: ‘I swear the only place he gets gigs these days is in Ireland lol [laugh out loud].’
