Harry Kane was taken off with injury for Bayern Munich just over 24 hours after drawing Arsenal in the Champions League quarter-finals. Having scored his 31st Bundesliga goal of the season, sparking a comeback win for the current title holders, the former Tottenham man was unable to see out the match.
Thomas Tuchel was forced to take off his star forward with less than 20 minutes to go as Bayern recorded a 5-2 win over bottom of the table Darmstadt on Saturday. The match comes less than three weeks before Arsenal welcome the German giants to the Emirates Stadium.
Kane has an impressive record against the Gunners from his time in north London at Spurs, where he scored 14 times in 19 matches in fiercely contested derbies. The England captain won seven, drew five, and lost seven of those games and will be aiming to get another one over Mikel Arteta next month.
His chances of playing have been dealt a minor blow, though, after he collided with the post attempting to score for Bayern on Saturday afternoon. Having already assisted Jamal Musiala for an equaliser, Kane put the Bavarians ahead just before half-time. He was unable to add to his tally of 37 in all competitions, though, after injuring himself in freak circumstances.
Kane was treated on the field after going down in pain following his impact with the woodwork. He is due to play for England next week in matches against Brazil and Belgium.
Bayern also have to face Borussia Dortmund and Heidenheim in the league before they travel to London for the first leg of their tie with Arsenal. It's unlikely at this stage that Kane is out for any extended period of time.
