Bayern Munich's Vincent Kompany admits he does not think about ...
Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane went into the Bundesliga clash against VFB Stuttgart with doubts over his form hanging over his head. Because he had not scored in 350 minutes. Truly, what a crime. But none of those doubts came from his head coach Vincent Kompany, as the Belgian later confided when asked about Kane’s recent lack of goals.
“To be honest, I didn’t waste any second thinking about whether he scored or not [in the past games],” Kompany explained, as captured by via @iMiaSanMia. “I know what qualities he has. He’s always hungry, even in training. Sometimes we forget how hard Harry works for the team. He’s always scored goals, and will always score goals. That won’t change.”
The former Tottenham Hotspur striker, of course, rewarded his coach’s faith his third hat-trick of the season to lift the Bavarians to a comfortable 4-0 victory. Perhaps a bit of faith truly can go a long way.
