Harry Kane has sent a Bayern Munich message after an ankle injury forced him off late into the 5-2 Bundesliga win over Darmstadt on Saturday. The former Tottenham striker was on the score sheet earlier in the game, however in the 82nd minute after colliding with the goalpost and subsequently breaking the net, he was substituted by Thomas Tuchel.
After the victory, the Bayern boss was able to provide an immediate update although he was unable to offer a clear diagnosis. "He collided with the post and twisted his ankle a bit," Tuchel said. "He had his ankle iced. There’s still no diagnosis, we have to wait. I hope it’s nothing bad."
Bayern are seven points behind league leaders Bayer Leverkusen, however they are still in the Champions League. The Bavarians, with Kane netting a brace, knocked out Serie A side Lazio in the last-16 following a 3-0 second leg victory at Allianz Arena.
With the quarter-final draw completed last Friday, Bayern are set to play Premier League outfit Arsenal. Kane has a rich history with the Gunners having played for their north London rivals Tottenham for 14 years and he has also scored countless goals against them over the past few years.
The March international break may have arrived at the perfect time for Bayern and Kane though, especially if his injury is a concern. The European clash is not set to take place until Tuesday, April 9 at Emirates Stadium with the second leg in Germany set for the following week.
While Tuchel was able to share his thoughts on Kane's injury, an update from the man himself was also captured as he admitted he was in pain when walking through the mixed zone. Now, with the game ending a number of hours ago, Kane has posted to social media however unfortunately for fans it is not related to his injury worry.

With a picture of him celebrating his goal, Kane captioned the post: "Proud to break a Bundesliga record but more importantly another good win." Courtesy of his 37th goal of the season, Kane broke a 60-year record as he became the highest-scorer during a debut season in Bundesliga history with 31 now to his name.
Considering the crunch Champions League clash is three weeks away, Bayern will hope Kane can recover in time. However his participation for England, for two friendlies against Brazil and Belgium, appears hugely in doubt with it possible he does not feature.
"We hope it’s not so bad," Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund admitted. "He was subbed off as a precaution. He won’t take any risks with the national team."
