Leroy Sané confirms, without a doubt, that he wants to stay at ...

Bayern Munich

There has been plenty of talk of how Bayern Munich are desperately trying to renew Alphonso Davies, are enticing Joshua Kimmich to renew past 2025 by promising him the captaincy, nearing completion of an extension for Manuel Neuer...but talk of Leroy Sané getting new terms past June 2025 has died down. Most recently, the noise out of the club is that the German needs to improve his performances to earn a renewed stay in Munich.

Sané himself, however, remains optimistic on extending. Speaking after scoring a goal in the 5-1 win over Ballsport Leipzig, the former Schalke 04 player had this to say on his future (as captured by @iMiaSanMia): “Max Eberl said a lot about that and I also gave my opinion. Things are going well and we’ll see. I just want to perform now and help us win our games.”

Asked if he wants to stay, Leroy Sané had a one word answer: “Yes!”

In a time where Davies and Kimmich are both hesitating to dedicate their future to the Bavarian giants, it is nice to hear that Sané, above anything else, truly wants to stay. If he continues to perform as he did against Leipzig, it may as well happen, too.
