And Walsh — who has won all 11 of his fights so far with 9 KOs — said: “I feel like if I can go in there and stop him, it will be a very big statement for me.

“I’m on the verge of being where I want to be but I still have a lot to do.”

He'll have one very famous fan amongst the crowd as UFC supremo Dana White has jetted in to Dublin to show his support for Walsh.

Promoter White isn't the only big name in combat sports who's part of Walsh's team as he's trained by Freddie Roach - most famous for overseeing Manny Pacquiao's legendary career.

But what we do know is that the evening's opening contest will begin at 5.30 pm.

Two exciting Celtic title clashes will be on the undercard.

Olympian Emmet Brennan will battle Kevin Cronin at super-middleweight, with light-middleweights Craig O’Brien taking on Edward Donovan in a second Dublin-Munster showdown.

Other Irish fighters on the bill are heavyweight Thomas Carty as well as Shauna O’Keeffe and Gareth Dowling, who will be making his debut.

Carty picked up wins on both Katie Taylor v Chantelle Cameron bills at the new Point last year.

The 6ft 4in heavyweight will take on Argentina’s Jonathan Exequiel Vergara (6-1) after a bout with Jacek Chruslicki fell through.
