On This Day in 2010, Celtic made their way to Fife to face Dunfermline Athletic at East End Park in the Scottish Cup. Whilst the game occurred in a fairly forgettable season (for good reason), it was the first game that Scott Brown led the Hoops out as captain following the moves from Stephen McManus and Gary Caldwell.
Despite being 2-1 down, Tony Mowbray’s side fought back and scored three to seal their progression to the next round.

Broony was synonymous with Celtic and the captaincy after a decade in the centre of midfield in Glasgow’s East End. The domineering midfielder on his day bowed out at Celtic after 620 appearances, 46 goals and 22 trophies in the Green and White.
