Focus on cup final

Callum McGregor has said all the focus now for Celtic is on the Scottish Cup after thumping Aberdeen 5-0.

The Celtic captain lifted the Scottish Premiership title at Parkhead today after a five-star display.

He said:

It means everything. Every one, every year is special, always a different challenge you have to go through and the boys have risen to it well. The style of football and attitude we've shown has been first class. Another special day and the players and supporters should enjoy it as much as possible. It was important to remind everyone why we are champions, if you were to sum up the season that was as close a 90 minutes as you'll get. It set us up really well for next weekend (Scottish Cup final) as well.

O'Neill on motivation

The Celtic boss admits the best players in his days only want more!

And he reckons that trait is running through the current team run by Ange.

14:51Graeme Young

Ange's message

He thanks fans, his skipper and the rest of his stars.

Champions, again. We are champions again because of this incredible group of players brilliantly led by our skipper Callum McGregor, champions again because of this unbelievable group of people behind the scenes, outstanding.

3 talking points

Kyogo hobbled out of Celtic’s Trophy Day celebrations having sparked the party with another two lethal finishes

The prolific striker took his personal tally for the term to 33 with a couple of clinical strikes before half-time. But Kyogo lasted just moments after the break when, after a collision with Aberdeen keeper Kelle Roos, he had to limp off. It was a worrying sight for the home fans as attention turns to next Saturday’s Scottish Cup Final against Inverness Caley Thistle at Hampden and the bid for the Treble.

FULL TIME: Celtic 5 Aberdeen 0

Celtic's Kyogo Furuhashi celebrates scoring the first goal

The champions paste the Dons and now the real party starts.

A double for Kyogo and Oh plus a strike from Starfelt.

Injury worries over Kyogo and Johnston ahead of next week will be parked to enjoy another title party to savour.

14:22Graeme Young

GOAL! Oh another one

On his toes, as per, he reacts to Jota's free-kick cracking the bar.

A double and his seven goals in Hoops have been against St Mirren, Hibs. Hearts and Aberdeen. A sign of his burgeoning talent.

14:16Graeme Young

Summers blooming

The Celtic academy star has been a livewire from the bench.

He's aiming to play himself into contention for another key role next weekend at Hampden.

And on this showing, he certainly wouldn't appear out of place.

14:13KEY EVENT

GOAL! Oh does it again

That's six - a big impact in half a season from the South Korean international.

Jota's lob to the back post was Phil Mickelson with a lob wedge precise and the goal-hungry striker was keen to pounce.

And Celtic appear in no hurry to keep it going.

14:10KEY EVENT

GOAL! Celtic make it 3-0

Starfelt heads home a pearler as he stood in place while everyone was drawn to the ball from O'Riley's cross.

It was perfect from the Swede and a lesser-spotted goal was heavily celebrated, as it should be!

Celtic are in the mood for more.

14:05Graeme Young

No goal for Jota

It's in the net but the flag is up instantly and the aforementioned O'Riley's touch put the former Benfica man in an offside position.

But the latest sign the champions are on it and seeking more goals.

14:04Graeme Young

O'Riley heavily involved

The Celtic star is dropping deep and seeking pockets of space where he can effect the low block of the Dons.

13:58Graeme Young

Ralston and Oh on deck

The two most likely replacements at Hampden are on the pitch now and it will be key to watch how both go as they aim to earn a starting berth at Hampden.

13:55Graeme Young

Johnston off

The two best players on the pitch for Celtic are both now on the medical table.

Kyogo exited hastily and Johnston, perhaps, is a bigger concern as he appeared crestfallen on the deck as he felt a twinge.

Plenty for Ange to ponder before the trip to Mount Florida.

13:50Graeme Young

Duk comes alive

He is involved now but his latest foray forwards end in not much before Shinnie earns a cynical yellow for hauling back Hatate.

The Japan international was not best pleased and let his counterpart know about it.

13:47Graeme Young

Kyogo woe

The one thing Celtic didn't want to happen as their star man hobbled off at the start of the second half.

13:42Graeme Young

O'Riley cracks the post

A bit of magic from the playmaker and he nutmegs two Aberdeen players before his effort cracks the outside of the post.

Stellar work but the end result is a near miss rather than a goal for his efforts.

13:40Graeme Young

Kyogo oh no

A hush descends on Celtic Park as the star man hobble off after being caught by Roos.

Oh is on and the talisman claps his adoring audience as he gets instant treatment on the touchline.

A major worry ahead of the showpiece Scottish Cup Final next Saturday.

13:36Graeme Young

Restart

Celtic and Abereen are back underway and James Forrest is on for Liel Abada.

And Kyogo is down on the deck but fans are hoping he's just winded.

13:19Graeme Young

Half time: Celtic 2 Aberdeen 0

Celtic's Kyogo Furuhashi celebrates scoring the first goal of the game

The champions have been utterly dominant and goal machine Kyogo is at the double and in the hunt for more.

Aberdeen have battled but that hasn't been enough to stop the champions in full flight.

They are large and in charge and Inverness will be fully aware of what lies in wait at Hampden next Saturday.

13:15Graeme Young

Clarkson tries his luck

But it's that man Johnston who denies him with a needed flick from the Liverpool loanee's set piece.

The Dons would love a goal here in a half they have been dominated in.

13:13Graeme Young

Another corner

Ange and his signing gems has been an occurring them of his trophy-laden stint and Alistair Johnston is right up there.

A right back who can do it all and his return to action today has been telling.

13:08Graeme Young

Celtic in full flow

MacDonald with a brilliant clearance to deny Jota but the offside flag was a safety net, too!

Hatate is part of everything good this Celtic team does and his superior passing gives the opposition fits.

13:06KEY EVENT

GOAL! Kyogo at the double

Kyogo Furuhashi of Celtic celebrates

Roos makes a mess of McGregor's tepid shot and disaster was incoming with Kyogo on the sniff.

The goal-hound cannot be stopped as and he is already on the hunt for a hat-trick.

13:00KEY EVENT

GOAL! Kyogo

Kyogo Furuhashi of Celtic scores

Commentator's curse!

We were about to big up Dons' defending before Kyogo did his stuff. A stunning finish as he takes in Taylor's driven pass.

He weaves a yard and curls past the impressive Roos - the talisman is bang on it.

12:58Graeme Young

All action

Celtic's Kyogo Furuhashi and Aberdeen's Angus MacDonald

A cracking watch and offering plenty despite the dead rubber element. And that's an unfair verdict in this case.

Celtic have the Scottish Cup Final to consider and Aberdeen are heading for Europe, tests like Celtic Park are vital for them.

12:56Graeme Young

Celtic come again

And Aberdeen are doing all they can to keep them at bay.

Right's alright for Celtic as the vast majority of their attacks are coming from that side in a bid to catch the Dons out.

12:47Graeme Young

Robson urges his men on

It feels like they are weathering a storm!

Celtic were magic in the early stages but the difference from the pasting here in March is the ability for the Dons to get out.

Promising signs for Robson.
