It was complete domination from Brendan Rodgers' side as they racked up the goals against the visitors - and could have had more in the downpour at Celtic Park.

Cameron Carter-Vickers was handed his first start after returning from injury - and nodded in the opener after just seven minutes. Adam Idah then nodded in a second as he continued his run of scoring form.

Matt O’Riley then split the Dundee defence to nod the ball into the net, before Daizen Maeda scored the pick of the night as he lashed the ball beyond Trevor Carson.

A mix-up in the visitors defence allowed Alistair Johnston’s cross to find the feet of Greg Taylor who passed the ball into the net. Nothing was going right for Tony Docherty’s side as Curtis Main saw his goal ruled out for offside after a VAR check - before Callum McGregor rounded off a neat passing move to make it six before the break.

Youngster Daniel Kelly would replace the skipper at the break - and would get in on the scoring with a brilliant curling effort from the edge of the box.

Dundee would go down to 10-men when Finlay Robertson was booked for a second time after clipping Alistair Johnston, but they would net a consolation as Michael Mellon came off the bench to find the net.

Palma hauled down

It's 7-1 so we may be getting some leniency from the man in the middle.

The Honduran is blocked off by Mulligan on the edge of the box by Mulligan - and the Celtic man is left in disbelief as his claims for a free-kick are waved away.

Dundee dropping deep

Tony Docherty's men must be desperate to get back on the bus to Tayside in this downpour.
