We’re more used to seeing Channing Tatum getting down to a very different type of music, but it seems that the talented Hollywood star, who’s famed for his Magic Mike franchise, is also a secret Irish dancing fan.

This weekend, the star was front and centre cheering his 11-year-old daughter Everly Tatum on as she took part in the Ambrose Fall Feis in Los Angeles proving she takes after her dancer parents Channing and mum Jenna Dewan.

Channing, who is of Irish ancestry, posted to social media proudly posing with his daughter’s two trophies wearing a sweet supportive t-shirt with ‘Evie’s Pit Crew’ printed on it.

Everly herself positively beamed with pride too wearing a traditional black, green, and gold Irish dancing dress, with her hair stacked high in curls behind an elaborate tiara.

Alongsided the photos, Channing wrote ‘There is absolutely no words for how proud I am of this lil girl!!! I’m freaking out maaaaannn!!!!’

Channing’s interest in Irish dancing took fans by surprise, with some calling him a ‘feis dad of the year’ while others gave him the funny nicknames ‘Channing Tayto’ and ‘Magic Micheál’.

However, it’s not the first time Channing has spoken of his admiration for Irish dancers. When he was in Ireland promoting Magic Mike in 2015, he told the Irish Independent ‘I saw these dancers do at this traditional Irish dancing show in some pub in Dublin that I was like, “Man, these guys, they got something. They are so tight and on point,” so I definitely snuck a few shapes, a few moves in. I stole a few.’

Everly’s mum, Channing’s ex-wife Jenna Dewan, is also a dancer and previously revealed her daughter was inspired by Riverdance.

She told Access Hollywood: ‘We watched a movie called Riverdance and she said, “Mom, please find me a dance class”. So we found a dance class and it just took off, she loves it.’
