Charlene McKenna welcomes first baby with husband Adam

Charlene McKenna has welcomed her first child with husband Adam Rothenberg after concealing her pregnancy and keeping the birth secret until three months later.

The Peaky Blinders star gave birth to a little girl, Martha Josephine, around March this year and only shared the news this week.

The 40-year-old actress announced the news of her daughter's arrival while speaking to RTE presenter Kay Sheehy on RTE Radio One who teased that Charlene had been busy with 'a new production, a beautiful production' of her own.

Charlene confirmed that she had recently become a mother, saying: 'I think it's an incredibly special and poignant and beautiful production, if I do say so myself.'

The actress tied the knot with husband Adam twice after first marrying in February 2021 in an intimate ceremony on the grounds of Castle Leslie and had a second, larger celebration two years later.

She said they have been 'in nesting mode' as they adjust to being new parents and 'enjoying' spending time with baby Martha.

Charlene said: 'I had a little baby, so I've been kind of out of the loop for a long time now. I've just been in nesting mode and enjoying my little girl. She's just, she's very special!'

Her daughter Martha Josephine is now three months old and she hasn't shared any pictures or other details about her on social media.

However, she did give a sweet insight into her daughter's personality, saying: 'She's just three months and she's already giving me chat!'
