In the next tour diary entry of the women’s tour in the USA, Aggie Beever-Jones discusses scoring in the 3-1 win against NJ/NY Gotham, improving under new head coach Sonia Bompastor and making memories with her teammates.

I'm really enjoying being in the USA. It's been nice to have quality time with the team on and off the pitch in a different environment to what we're used to.

Our first game was a good opportunity to blow the cobwebs away! It was good to start pre-season with a win and I was really happy to get on the scoresheet. It's always a good feeling to get a goal and it sets me off on the right foot.

I felt you could see what we've been working on when we played Gotham. There were new connections on the pitch. I linked up with Jojo well, and with the squad as a whole I think you could see the amount of depth we have.

For me, I am a versatile player across the frontline and I think I showed that, but I want to keep improving in all aspects of my game. I think you could see the progress I've made against Gotham in things like my hold-up play and securing the ball.

I've learnt a lot from working with the new coaches already. I remember watching Sonia when I was younger, so it is amazing to be coached by her now. She is a proper winner and when she talks about winning, I do see some of myself in her.

When we next play against Arsenal it will be a different kind of test, but it is one we're looking forward to. It's just another opportunity to show what we've been working on with Sonia and the coaching staff.

Sonia has made it clear that she would rather have players who are willing to get on the ball and make a few mistakes rather than shying away and being scared to lose it. To hear that as a young player - who is trying to be more consistent - it has definitely spurred me on.

I just want to keeping showing what I can do and hope to impress them. I'm loving what they're doing so far.

Away from the pitch, we've made so many memories as a team.

We've just arrived in Washington DC after being in New York, which I really loved. I'd been to New York before but I was quite a bit younger, so it was nice to have some time to fit in tourist stuff like Times Square.

When we were back in New Jersey we started a mini tournament of games like musical chairs and beer pong...but with juice! It's really nice to have a laugh and a joke with each other.

It is all a bit of fun and silliness, but it does get quite competitive. Anyone who knows me knows I'm competitive - the entire squad definitely knows that now anyway! I just hate losing with a passion.

I've spent a lot of time with Lucy Watson on the trip. A few people have said we're joint at the hip. We are pretty inseparable.

I've known Watto since I was probably around 13 or 14 years old. We go back quite a while. She gets me and I get her, so it is nice to have a person like that on a trip like pre-season. But we're just such a close group in general.

I've loved being back with my Chelsea family.
