MANCHESTER UNITED are set to appoint Christopher Vivell on a short-term basis, according to reports.
The 37-year-old will become United's director of recruitment, meaning he is expected to guide the club through the next two transfer windows.

The Athletic claim Vivell will lend expertise around talent ID and player recruitment.
He is set to remain at Old Trafford until the end of next year's January window, a report from Florian Plettenberg suggests.
The Red Devils are currently waiting for him to receive a work permit.
Vivell previously spent seven months with Chelsea as a technical director.
He oversaw the addition of eight first-team players and a record January spend.
