The reigning US Open champion is the No. 2 seed at this year's championships and gets her tournament underway on Monday with a first-round match against compatriot Caroline Dolehide.

Ahead of the all-American clash, Gauff uploaded a 'day in the life' TikTok video revealing how she prepares for Wimbledon in the days leading up to the tournament.

The 20-year-old starts her day by waking up and doing her hair and skincare routines and brushing her teeth.

She then picks her outfit for the day and heads to breakfast which, on this particularly day, consisted of scramble eggs, meats, sausages and some fruit.

The Atlanta native then brushes her teeth for a second time before packing her tennis equipment and heading to SW19.

She arrives at Wimbledon and immediately does mobility, stretching and balance work before biking and speed work.

A light fitness workout is next on the agenda, although nothing too heavy because she was set to play her first-round match in a couple of days at the time of the video's recording.

Coco gets some practice in by hitting a few balls with fellow WTA Tour star Maria Sakkari on the outside grass courts.

"She's one of my favorite people to practice with," Gauff says.

After an hour or so, Gauff does individual training and specific drills with her own team before getting another stretching session in.

She then takes the opportunity to wander around the hallowed grounds at The All England Club and take in its history before the busy crowds take over on Day 1 of the 2024 championships.

Shortly after, Gauff showers, eats lunch and does a 45 minute treatment with her physio.

She then speaks to the world's media in the Wimbledon press conference room before filming for TV and social media and doing interviews.

She signs some things for the tournament and heads back to her hotel.

After a quick change and freshen up, she goes to dinner with her parents in Central London.

The Gauff family walk back to the hotel where Coco then takes a shower, does her nightmare skincare and haircare routine, watches an episode of The Bear, reads a chapter of her book - Ru Paul's memoir - and finally goes to sleep.

Fans were loving the peak behind the curtain and encouraged her to do similar videos throughout the tournament.

"I really love this video from Coco about how she prepared for her day! I learned a little from it. Thanks for sharing," one person wrote.

"You definitely should do more I love your narration," another said to which Coco replied, "I will try! it tough to do once the tournament starts."

Wimbledon is the scene for one of the greatest wins of Gauff's career so far.

In 2019, the then-15-year-old burst onto the scene by beating idol Venus Williams on her Grand Slam debut.

Gauff stunned Venus, then a five-time Wimbledon champion, in the opening round with a 6-4, 6-4 win.

It was the first sign of everything to come from Gauff, who's reached the French Open final, become the world No. 2, won the US Open on home soil and pocketed £12million ($15m) in prize money and more in endorsements.

However, it's not all been plain sailing for Gauff.

Last year, she suffered a shock first-round defeat to Sofia Kenin, which made her reflect on the impact her debut win over Venus had.

"After that first Wimbledon I felt a lot of pressure," she says. "I felt almost suffocated by expectations, like I wasn't playing for myself.

"It changed after losing here first round last year. I realised this mentality wasn't sustainable. I felt if I continued like this it would make tennis unenjoyable. I realised I had to worry about myself and not the other expectations people have for me.

"I went back to the mentality I had when I was 15 — there was only one match I was nervous for and that was to play Venus and that was because it was Venus, not because it was Wimbledon. But second round, third, fourth I was never nervous and I feel like that now.

"There are obviously nerves but not the suffocating nerves where you're like, 'If I lose what's going to happen?'. It's more like, 'This is really exciting, I hope I do well'."

Gauff has reached two major semi-finals in 2024 - at the Australian Open and French Open - and passed Caroline Wozniacki for the most WTA 1000 wins before turning 21.

Despite losing to world No. 1 and eventual champion Iga Świątek at Roland Garros, Gauff and partner Katerina Siniaková won the women's doubles in Paris - her first Grand Slam doubles trophy.

Gauff is now officially the second best player in the world ahead of Wimbledon and will be one of the favorites to lift the Venus Rosewater Dish this year.
