Coldplay fans were venting their frustration at Ticketmaster after struggling to join the huge queues for online sales of the band's big UK gigs in 2025.
Many complained they were being asked to "authenticate accounts" but not getting codes through to do so, while others received error messages asking them to "check their internet connection".
Tickets went on general sale at 9am for the band's eagerly anticipated UK shows for 2025 at Hull's Craven Park and London's Wembley Stadium.
Fans are normally able to join an online queue on Ticketmaster just before the on sale time.
But scores of fans reported seeing error messages on the Ticketmaster App saying: "Something went wrong. Check your internet connection and try again later".
Many more vented their anger at Ticketmaster that they were told they needed to authenticate their account with a code - that wasn't then immediately appearing in their email inboxes. It meant many missed out on the chance to join the queue.

Claire on X says she logged onto Ticketmaster this morning and had to change her password and 'authenticate her account'.
She said she is still waiting for a code to do this. This means she can't join the waiting room for the Coldplay tickets yet.
Not again Ticketmaster, tried to log in for 8:30 only to be met with “change your password first” then “authenticate your account” and now I’m still waiting for a code that hasn’t come through and therefore I can’t join the waiting room! #coldplay #ticketmaster

Here is a seating plan for Coldplay's shows at London's Wembley Stadium next year. Please note it is for illustrative purposes only and may be subject to change.
There is a general admission standing area on the floor and three levels of seating that vary in price.
Wembley Stadium is the UK's largest events venue and holds up to 90,000 people. While that does mean that potentially hundreds of thousands of tickets will go on sale, event organisers have not confirmed the exact number of tickets available for each Coldplay show.

Here is a seating plan for Hull's Craven Park Stadium. Please note it is for illustrative purposes only and may be subject to change.
The stadium has previously hosted gigs for Little Mix, Rod Steward, The Who and Beautiful South. For those shows the stadium had a capacity of 20,000.
Across the two dates, that means that there will be around 40,000 tickets available.

Some Coldplay fans were left frustrated and angry after trying to secure tickets for the 2025 concerts in the pre-sale yesterday.
A limited number of presale tickets went on sale via Ticketmaster for the Hull and Wembley shows, with fans who secured a spot receiving an email with details and an early access code.
However, when many logged onto Ticketmaster they were greeted with long queues.
One X user wrote:
"What's the point of album pre-sale when people can sign up for free and you 109443 in the queue! How is that fair?!?!"
And now in some cases, Coldplay tickets for the Hull and London dates are being resold on secondary ticketing websites for hundreds of pounds more.
