Over the next few months, Jasmine will be staging a variety of fundraising events to support its work in the community.

The not-for-profit provides free hospice and palliative care, as well as bereavement support, for those affected by a life-limiting or end-of-life illness.

Professional care and services are provided at home or at its in-patient facility, Jasmine Villa.

1 PETE RIBBINS 7 MEMORIAL RIDE & RUN

3 Nov.

This annual cycling and running event hosted by Cayman Water Company raises money for Jasmine in honour of the life and legacy of Pete Ribbins, past general manager of CWC.

Participants can choose from a 40K ride, a 10K ride, or a 5K run/walk.

The proceeds benefit patient care at Jasmine, with CWC matching all funds raised through registration fees.

2 SPOTLIGHT ON HOLLYWOOD

8, 9, 10 Nov., Harquail Theatre

It’s a chance to dress in your finest, walk the red carpet, and be part of a glamorous night.

Spotlight on Hollywood is an enchanted evening filled with the magic of the silver screen, featuring a showcase of award-winning Oscar and Grammy songs.

3 LIGHT UP A LIFE

25 Nov., Camana Bay

This cherished tradition invites those who have lost a loved one to gather for the Light up a Life remembrance event at Camana Bay.

Hang a memorial star on Jasmine’s Christmas trees to create a luminous tribute to loved ones, which will shine throughout December.

Pastor Randy Von Kanel will give words of comfort, with the Cayman Youth Choir and National Choir performing at this community gathering.

Online pre-registration has closed, but people can create a star on the evening of the event. Suggested donation is $10.

4 #JOGFORJASMINE AT THE CAYMAN ISLANDS MARATHON

1 Dec.

Those looking for a challenge this December can join #JogforJasmine at the Cayman Islands Marathon.

Register to run a full marathon, half marathon, or a four-person relay, or get involved by sponsoring a Jasmine runner.

To participate, register with CI Marathon online and then email Jasmine to let them know you are participating in #JogforJasmine.

5 GIANT COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS CARD

Jasmine’s Giant Community Christmas card is a staple of the holidays in Cayman.

The Christmas card features festive messages from families, companies, and community leaders in Cayman and a review of the year at Jasmine, delivered inside the Cayman Compass newspaper in the lead-up to Christmas.

6 CAYMAN WATERCOLOURS CALENDAR 2025

This annual calendar features reproductions of original watercolour paintings of scenes of the Cayman Islands by local artists.

Funds raised support Jasmine and the National Children’s Voluntary Organisation.

These keepsake calendars are available at Jasmine Villa, and various retailers on-island.

7 BURNS SUPPER 2025

24 Jan.; Grand Old House

Grab your kilts and celebrate the birthday of Robert Burns in true Scottish style, complete with dinner, whisky, music and dancing.
