Stormers got the better of a brave Connacht side in the semi-final of the United Rugby Championship this afternoon.
Jack Carty got the visitors off the mark early on, with Mack Hansen getting over in the corner a short while later.
It was a nervy start for the reigning champions, who nearly gave away a try by losing the ball on their own goal-line. They survived and before long were 17-8 in front after a trio of fabulous tries.
Stormers got over again before a converted Conor Oliver try left the gap at 11 points at the break.
After a subdued start to the second-half, Connacht up the ante and Sheamus Hurley-Langton to power over from close range.
That left the gap at four, but Stormers took their game to another level from this point on.
A De Wet try extended the gap to 11 once more, but Ralsten got over the whitewash in the 75th minute to make things interesting again.
But the defending champions stood firm and scored another late try to add some gloss to the win.
