The wife of The Traitors star Charlotte Chilton has broken her silence after Charlotte announced that she was five months pregnant with the pop star Conor Maynard.

Charlotte, 32, revealed in a video earlier this week that Conor, 31, had fathered her 'miracle' baby - which came after seven miscarriages - after the pair met at a wrap party for the BBC series earlier this year.

Now her estranged wife Laura Chilton, 33, has claimed that they were still together when Charlotte slept with the singer in London. Laura and Charlotte had been together for seven years and endured a failed IVF attempt.

Laura, a telecommunications engineer, said she wanted to speak out after being left hurt by comments Charlotte had made about being in a previous 'toxic' relationship.

She said she also wanted to set the record straight about when their relationship ended.

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline, Laura told us: 'Charlotte has stated in interviews that she was single and had been single since the filming of Traitors which wasn't the case at all. We were still in a relationship when she was filming the show.'

The Traitors star Charlotte Chilton has revealed Conor Maynard is the father of her unborn baby

She said Conor (pictured) spent the evening 'pursuing' her and she was 'vulnerable' as she'd just got out of a 'really toxic relationship'

Pictures show Charlotte was still wearing her wedding ring when she attended the event in London in January.

In an interview this week Charlotte - who is five months pregnant - said she had been pressured to go to the party by The Traitors winner Harry Clark, who is dating Conor's sister Anna.

She said Conor spent the evening 'pursuing' her and she was 'vulnerable' as she'd just got out of a 'really toxic relationship'.

She revealed the pair ended up sleeping together and kept in touch over the phone but the relationship fizzled out.

However, after feeling unwell, Charlotte - who believed she was infertile after her IVF struggles - took a pregnancy test on her mother's advice and discovered she was expecting.

She claimed that Conor was initially 'lovely' about the news, yet she later claimed he said he wasn't ready to be a father.

Responding to the claims, Laura said she 'had her suspicions' something had happened between Charlotte and Conor as she had cheated on her previously.

Discussing the event where Conor and Charlotte met Laura said: 'She went down to the London for this wrap party - I read she had been forced to go down - she wasn't forced to go at all.

Taking to Instagram, Charlotte said: 'I've really toyed with whether this is the right thing to do or not. I've sort of hidden a lot of things in the protection of somebody else through this process'

She told in the caption that she was being 'raw and honest' and that she wouldn't be silenced anymore

Conor and Charlotte were introduced as her co-star Harry Clarke is in a relationship with Anna Maynard. The group all headed on a night out back in January to celebrate the final

'She was seizing that opportunity. I had a feeling something had gone on because she decided she would stay an extra day - which was obviously the night she got with this Conor Maynard which I had caught wind of as she mentioned to me he had a crush on her and she wasn't interested - we were still together.

'But she is making out to everyone that we weren't together at the time - I want to make it clear that we were.'

Speaking about the baby Laura said: 'I just think more than anything people need to grow up - stop trying to grab a headline by revealing who the father of her baby is and just take accountability and some responsibility - all jokes aside there is another life coming into this now.

The BBC star who appeared on the second series on the hit show, shared a gallery of sweet snaps revealing the happy news by showcasing her bump

It was revealed that Charlotte had split from her wife Laura in May (seen together)

'I spoke to Charlotte last night and just said stop it, stop feeding this media attention but it is becoming clear it is what she wants.'

Laura has moved back home with her parents who have been taking care of her as she has struggled with her own mental health as a result.

The couple were together seven years after meeting online.

'Do you know what we have had some great times together, we had a really cool wedding - Charlotte has been through a lot. We did go through IVF, we only had one cycle and that was unsuccessful,' Laura said.

Charlotte revealed 'IVF had failed' for her and she was previously told by medics she 'probably' wouldn't ever become a mother

Charlotte wrote: 'After 7 miscarriages over my 20s, failed Insemination, failed IVF I was told 'it probably won't happen for you'. Someone decided I deserved a wish answering and I am now going to have my own little miracle'

Charlotte added: 'It was a rough start (never knew sickness could be so bad) but I'm starting to feel normal again!! It's been a shock to say the least but the most welcomed surprise ever!!!'

She said it was 'really difficult' going through IVF.

'I think for any couple going through it, whether they are in a same sex relationship or not, it is hard. And being the other party is hard. I don't think that gets spoken about enough. We went through it during Covid as well which was even harder as I wasn't able to attend any appointments with her and everything. I very much felt left out of it.'

She discovered Charlotte was pregnant after seeing pictures online. Asked about how she felt when she found out she said: 'I can't say that I am sad, the main feeling that I have, I just hope that she and him and the family make the right decision for that child and keep it out of the limelight.'

'I have so many good people around me that have helped me through this whole thing. I can't thank them enough as I might not even be here now but it really does teach to resilience it really does.'

She said all she wanted now was for everyone involved to do the 'right thing' by the baby.

'I just want everyone to step up now.

'She has always loved the attention, she is such a charismatic person, and fun and very witty but unfortunately she can hurt the people who are closest to her.'

Conor has not commented publicly on the news.

MailOnline has contacted Charlotte and Conor's representatives for comment.
