Tony McGregor suffered a heart attack on Thursday.

Conor McGregor's has posted a message in support of his dad Tony after his heart attack.

Tony McGregor suffered the frightening health scare early on Thursday morning when he was rushed to hospital.

"We are McGregors we live forever," the fighter wrote on social media.

Thankfully, Tony (64) is expected to recover and soon be discharged after receiving a stent.

"Thanks to the cardio team, Hermitage,” Tony wrote on Instagram.

"Heart attack in the morning, stent in the afternoon, sweet and sour in the evening, see ya later suckers,” Tony added.

Tony could be seen with black socks and pajama’s on as he enjoyed some Chinese food in The Hermitage, a private hospital in Lucan.

It is understood many family members, including the UFC champ Conor, are also in the hospital to show support.

Tony was brought into the facility on Thursday morning. However, after having his procedure, he is expected to make a full recovery.

The Dubliner played a huge part in Conor's success as a fighter, introducing him to kickboxing when the Notorious was just a child.

While Conor worked as a plumber before entering MMA, Tony worked numerous jobs to provide for his clan.

Tony has been present for most of Conor's UFC fights as he became the promotion's first two-division champion and MMA's biggest star.

Interestingly, Tony played the song I'm Feeling It (In The Air) by Sunset Bros alongside his Instagram hospital post.

Last summer, Tony posted a funny video as he sailed his boat in circles around a superyacht owned by an heiress to the Walmart empire.

Tony called himself the “International Yachtsman of Leisure” and was using Conor’s old boat, the ‘188.’

Named the 188 Luxury Sports Cruiser, it is named after the amount of money Conor was paid each week (€188) while claiming social welfare.

Meanwhile, the Crumlin fighter is gearing up to return to the Octagon on June 29. After nearly three years away, Conor will headline UFC 303 against Michael Chandler.

"I haven't checked the scales since the last time I weighed in at a UFC event which was a fair bit of time ago,” Conor said recently.

"But I'll have a chat and see where I'm at. But I got great news, it's all systems go, thumbs up, thumbs up, got the call everything's sweet."
