Conor McGregor bagged a cool €1 million as Spain triumphed over England 2-1 in the final of Euro 2024.
Mikel Oyarzabal emerged as the Spanish hero, scoring in the 86th minute and leaving Gareth Southgate's team with another European final loss to grapple with. But 'The Notorious' was arguably the biggest winner of the night, his hefty bet paying off and earning the UFC superstar a whopping €1 million.
Sharing a snap of his winning betting slip, McGregor took to social media, exclaiming: "€1million won on my birthday!". Earlier in the day, McGregor had words of praise for Donald Trump following an unsuccessful assassination attempt on the former American President, reports the Irish Mirror.

The shocking incident has been widely circulated on social media, with numerous world leaders deeming it a "tragedy" for democracy. UFC star McGregor was among those commenting on the events, posting on X: "A 78 year old multiple billionaire he should be on a yacht on the Med [Mediterranean] touring golf courses.
"But he is not. He is in Pennsylvania spitting out bullets! Running for the love of his country! God speed Donald! God bless the United States [prayer and heart emojis]".
Trump, a regular attendee at UFC events, shares a long-standing friendship with the promotion's boss Dana White.
