CORK CITY

Champions Cork City get to celebrate in front of their home fans when they welcome Finn Harps to Turners Cross on Friday. (Kick off at 19:45).

They further stretched their advantage to 22 points as UCD had a weekend off due to FAI Cup fixtures taking place.   

The Rebel Army were able to allow squad members game time down in Kerry and saw several impress in a comfortable win. 

Clancy stated his desire to repeat this for the remaining games: “Those lads probably think they should have got more game time and so now we have an opportunity to keep things going and reward them for their professionalism that have shown all season.

"I could not have been happier with the performance. It will be 100% a similar approach from now to the end of the season. We are unbeaten at home and it’s a record we are very proud off.

"We have three home games left and two away games. We want to finish the season really strong, and we want to use the whole squad.”

The club is advertising the game as an International night and urging fans from all communities to come out and support them. 

FINN HARPS

Finn Harps travel south in their hopes of securing one of the remaining play-off spots as they take on the newly crowned champions.

A run of three wins in a row have seen them close the gap between them and Athlone in the final spot, albeit with a game extra played.

Success Edogun was the match-winner as his penalty proved to be the difference in a victory over Longford last weekend.  

The striker is among the top scorer in the division and will be a key driver for the rest of the season. 

The side will embark on one of the longest journeys in the league and will hope to return with a positive result.
