6.48pm: In the Roscommon SFC, Roscommon Gaels have broken Michael Glaveys’ hearts with a sensational finish to the hour of regulation time in Dr. Hyde Park this afternoon, picking off three stoppage time scores to send the game to extra-time and eventually deny Glaveys a first county final appearance since 1996. 6.40pm: Crossmaglen beaten in Armagh - A Lurgan Clasico, as Irish News man Andy Watters calls it - Clann Eireann have beaten Crossmaglen 1-11 to 0-10 to set up a first all-Lurgan Armagh SFC final since 1968. It was Clann Eireann v Clan na Gael then as it will be in two weeks’ time. Adam Kelly’s goal the difference at the Athletic Grounds.

6.35pm: Cork Premier SFC: Mallow 3-15 Muskerry 2-11 - Mallow are into the last four of the top division of Cork football for the first time in 20 years after seeing off Muskerry. Full report available shortly. 

6.32pm: Penalty to the Glen. Hoggie makes no mistake. 2-4 for him now. 

6.28pm: 13 minutes gone in Páirc Uí Chaoimh and Patrick Horgan has just put Glen Rovers in front against Castlelyons in the Cork SAHC semi-final. After Anthony Spillane has grabbed the first goal of the game a few minutes earlier, Cork legend Horgan rounded Castlelyons 'keeper Jack Barry to slot home. He knocks over a free to follow. 1-4 for Horgan. 1-5 to 1-2 in favour of the Glen. 

6.20pm: In Offaly, Charlie Mitchell and Adam Screeney were at their devastating best for Kilmormac-Killoughey as they booked their spot in the hurling decider. They will meet Ballinamere after a seven-point swing late on against St Rynagh's sealed their final berth.

6:15pm: We've had plenty drama thus far, but there could be yet more to come, with the Cork SAHC semi-final meeting of Glen Rovers/Castlelyons and Bride Rovers/Blarney still to come. Don't go anywhere. 

6.13pm: Full time in Dublin and Robbie Brennan's Kilmacud have triumphed over Na Fianna to set up a football final clash with Cuala. Mark O'Leary's goal the difference between the sides.

6.10pm: Cork Intermediate A FC - Gabriel Rangers will meet Glanmire in the last four after the West Cork outfit defeat Mitchelstown on a scoreline of 0-13 to 0-10. Here's the report.

6.07pm: Chin sees red in Wexford - Inter-county star Lee Chin's straight red card just on the interval came back to haunt Faythe Harriers as a dramatic Conor McDonald point deep into additional time handed reigning champions Naomh Eanna a 1-17 to 0-19 victory in their county senior hurling quarter-final clash at Chadwicks Wexford Park.

Wexford SHC semi-final draw: Rapparees or St. Anne's (Rathangan) v Shelmaliers; St.Martin's v Naomh Eanna (holders).

6.06pm: Mayo SFC - It will be a Knockmore v Ballina final, after the former finally got the better of Aidan O'Shea's Breaffy after extra time, 2-15 to 0-18. The final is pencilled in for October 20.

6.05pm: As promised. Eoghan Cormican's verdict from Nemo's epic win on penalties over Clon in Bandon. 

6pm: Despite the best efforts of Sean O'Shea for Kenmare Shamrocks, It is St Brendan's that live on in the Kerry SFC. They join Dr Croke's, Dingle and East Kerry in the last four. Here's how they did it. 

5.58pm: Cork Premier IHC semi-final - All over between Ballincollig and Carrigaline, where it is Carrigaline who triumph on a scoreline of 1-19 to 1-18. 

5.57pm: Clare SHC semi-final - And we have a winner. Elation for Sixmilebridge who win 4-3 after sudden death penalties were needed to separate them from the clutches of Inagh Kilnamona. They book their ticket to take on Feakle in the decider.

In the relegation decider, O'Callaghan Mills have come out on the wrong side of proceedings in Newmarket-on-Fergus. They lose out to Corofin in the play-off on a 2-18 to 1-18 scoreline. 

5.55pm: Still no separating the sides in Clare SHC semi-final. We've creeped into sudden death penalties. The drama continues. 

5.49pm: Here's Maurice Brosnan's report from Dr Crokes' 1-17 to 2-9 win over Rathmore in the Kerry SFC quarter-final. 

5.46pm: Heading back to the Banner county, and extra-time hasn't been enough to separate Inagh Kilnamona and Sixmilebridge. Penalties it is. We'll bring you the victor shortly. 

5.45pm: We'll get Eoghan's report from Bandon before he turns his attention to the 8pm hurling meeting of Blarney and Bride Rovers in the Páirc.

5:17pm Nemo's first score of extra-time - a Mark Cronin '45 - arrives four minutes into the second period. Level again with Clon. 2-12 to 0-18.

5:15pm Friend of the pod Brian Hogan has pulled it out of the fire with O’Loughlin Gaels, thanks to their new Kerry signing. Down to 13 men, his side claimed a stunning victory over city rivals Dicksboro in a highly dramatic Kilkenny SHC Quarter-Final in UPMC Nowlan Park, says Robert Cribbin.

Second half red cards to Mikey Butler for a high challenge on Shane Stapleton and team captain Mark Bergin for an off the ball incident with Ollie Walsh looked to have the defending champions in real trouble but a stoppage time goal from Kerry’s Fionan Mackessy saved the day as Brian Hogan’s side battled to a 2-17 to 0-20 success. 

Earlier in the day Mullinavat secured their place in a senior semi-final for the first time since 2015 when they had eight points to spare in a 2-21 to 0-19 win over Erin’s Own.

5:12pm Mallow goal for Mark Tobin. They lead Muskerry 3-14 to 1-11.

5:09pm Cagey in Bandon. There's a movie title. After the excitement at the end of normal time, extra-time in Bandon has been a far more cagey affair. The first period of extra-time produced only one point, that Conor Daly's Clon mark.

Nemo midfielder-moved-in-full-forward Barry Cripps tried for goal on 69 minutes, his shot well saved by Mark White. 2-12 to 0-17.

5:07pm The draw has just taken place for the semi finals of the Kerry SFC: Dr Crokes will meet St Brendan's, and Dingle will meet favourites East Kerry.

5:06pm After their great escape, seven in a row chasing St Thomas will now meet Cappataggle, appearing in their fifth semi-final in eight years but who have never been in the final, in the last four, while Loughrea and Clarinbridge will clash in the other Galway semi-final. Brighton keeper has thrown one in from James Maddison. 0-2

5:01pm Few results to wrap. Bray Emmets won the Wicklow SHC final. 0-23 to Carnew Emmets 4-8. As we told you earlier, in Leitrim it finished Ballinamore Seán O'Heslins 1-11 Mohill 0-14. 4:41pm They've done it again. Reigning All-Ireland champions St Thomas’ remain on course for a seventh Galway SHC title in a row after coming from two points adrift to edge out Turloughmore by 0-19 to 1-15 in a dramatic quarter-final clash. Veteran James Regan was the hero, coming off the bench to break Turloughmore’s hearts in a gripping finish with the winning point. John Fallon.

4:40pm With six minutes remaining in Bandon, it's all square, Nemo Rangers 0-15 Kerrigan free Clonakilty 2-9  

4:39pm In the Cork Premier SFC quarter final in Kanturk, Muskerry have hit five points on the spin to draw level with Mallow, 1-6 to 0-9. Kevin Sheehan with the Mallow goal. Drogs now 3-2 up in the cup. 

4:38pm Here's rundown of late drama in Cork semi. With his 13th point, Conor Lehane’s free had restored parity for Midleton only for Ben Nodwell to catch the subsequent puck-out. He fed Jack O’Connor who in turn supplied Myers for the crucial point. Report coming from John Fogarty. *Remember, with the two results in the Cork hurling semis, Sars are now guaranteed to repreent Cork in Munster Club SHC.

4:36pm Kilcormac Killoughey are dishing out an unmerciful in the Offaly semi-final. 2-16 to 0-6 v Coolderry. Early in second half.

4:33pm: Not dead yet. All square in the Galway SHC quarter-final — St Thomas’ 0-17 Turloughmore 1-14 — heading into five minutes of additional time! John Fallon. Meanwhile, RTE have lost pictures of the FAI Cup. Still Desmond.

4:32pm: Sars have beaten Midleton 22-21. Aaron Myers winner. Into the final against Imokilly.

4:31pm: Another goal. Eoghan Cormican is screeching like Merse..  Two goals in two minutes for Clon. Nemo sub Ciaran McCartan is turned over by Tom Clancy. The pass inside to the unmarked Conor Daly and he holds his nerve to bring his tally to 1-5. Clon lead 2-8 to 0-13.

4:30pm Goal in Bandon. Conor Daly to Ross Mannix and the half-forward buries low to the corner to reduce the gap to the minimum. 0-12 to 1-8. 45 minutes gone. Nemo continue with 14 men for another two minutes before Alan O'Donovan returns. EC

4:26pm Closing stages in SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh and Conor Lehane's 11th point followed by Cormac Beausang's first brought Midleton level against a Sarsfields side who have been much better in the second half. However, Daniel Hogan has since put Sarsfields a point ahead, 0-21 to 0-20.

4:24pm Congrats to Éire Óg on victory in the Tyrone SHC final. And commiserations to our old friends in Eoghan Ruadh. 3-16 to 3-13 it finished.

4:23pm TJ Ryan was heading up to see this one. But with six left in the fourth Galway SHC quarter-final is the run over? Reigning All-Ireland champions St Thomas’ trail Turloughmore — down to 14 men — by 1-13 to 0-15. Could St Thomas’ six years reign in Galway be about to come to an end in this repeat of last year’s final?  2-2 now in the cup semi.

4:22pm Black card alert in Bandon. Nemo captain Alan O'Donovan is harshly (says Eoghan Cormican) sin-binned for a challenge on Cork senior Maurice Shanley. Conor Daly converts the resulting free to bring Clon within four, 0-11 to 0-7.

Nemo's response to temporarily losing a man is to sweep down the field and kick a point from O'Donovan's midfield partner Barry Cripps. 0-12 to 0-7. 40 minutes gone. By the way, Drogs are in front in the FAI Cup semi. 

4:20pm In Kerry, Crokes have pulled away from Rathmore. 1-11 to 1-3 early in second half.

4:19pm Mallow pulling away in Kanturk. Leading 1-6 to 0-4 against Muskerry.

4:18pm Sars-Midleton is bubbling towards a big finish. Midleton 0-15 Sarsfields 0-17 with around 12 left.

4:17pm Bit of drama in Galway, reports John Fallon. 

Heading into the final quarter in the big one and the reigning All-Ireland champions St Thomas’ — bidding for a seventh county title in a row — trail by 1-10 to 0-12 but Turloughmore have been reduced to 14 men after Tom Quirke, who had scored two points, was sent off after picking up a yellow card. All to play for as the only sides in Galway to win six-in-a-row head down the home straight in a tense encounter.

It's midway through the first half in the Laois SHC final. All square - Clough-Ballacolla 1-4 Rathdowney-Errill 0-7. That's on TG4. Still 1-1 in the cup semi-final on RTÉ2. Bluestocking won the Arc.  Read all about it.

4:11pm 10 mins gone in Kanturk in Cork's remaining quarter-final between Mallow and Muskerry. Mallow lead 1-2 to 0-1. Kevin Sheehan goal.

4:08pm Eoghan Cormican brings word of a "a real second quarter swing in the Cork PSFC quarter-final at Bandon". 

Nemo head to the dressing-room enjoying a double-scores 0-10 to 0-5 advantage, this despite having played into a strong breeze in the opening half an hour.

Trailing 0-5 to 0-4 at the end of the first quarter, Nemo kicked the last six points of the half. The Clon defence was far too easily picked apart, while Mark White restarts also wobbled.

In one instance, a short White restart to corner-back Martin Scally was picked off the floor by the latter, a free in was promptly awarded, with Kerrigan converting to leave the scoreboard reading 0-9 to 0-5. Kerrigan turned provider for their last score of the half, assisting Ronan Dalton. The city men finished with five first-half scorers, Clon just two. The hill facing Clon looks beyond conquering.

4:03pm Afternoon all. You were certainly better off following the blog than watching second half of Villa v United (0-0). News in from the big one in Tipp - kingpins Clonmel Commercials into another final. 0-16 to 0-5 winners over Kilsheelan Kilcash. Loughmore's double chasers await in the final. 

4.02pm We're back up and running in Páirc Uí Chaoimh and hopefully the second period will spark to life, Larry Ryan will keep an eye on that and the rest of the day's action from here... 

3.57pm  Clon's shooting has become wayward in Bandon. After no wide in the opening quarter, they've kicked four in the last eight minutes. They've not scored since the 15th minute. Conor Horgan's mark for Nemo has them in front for the first time. Mark Cronin has just doubled their lead. Against the wind, they lead 0-7 to 0-5. 25 minutes on the clock. EC

3.53pm Twenty minutes gone in the Cork Premier SFC quarter-final at Bandon and Nemo will be absolutely delighted with the 0-5 apiece scoreline. They lost the toss and were told to play into a stiff breeze in the opening half. Conor Horgan and Mark Cronin - their two-man inside line - have contributed three of their 0-5 total. Down the far end, Conor Daly and his four points from play, a mark, and a '45 is taking advantage of the elements behind him. EC

3.50pm Turloughmore failed in last year’s county final to stop St Thomas’ equalling their record of six-in-a-row of Galway SHC titles which they completed in the 1960s. They now have a chance at the semi-final stage in Galway to stop the reigning All-Ireland champions from setting a new record of seven on the spin. Turloughmore, having played with the wind, lead by 1-8 to 0-8 at the break thanks to a goal just before the break from Cillian Whelan in front of a huge crowd at Kenny Park in Athenry. John Fallon

3.49pm John Fogarty sends this update from Páirc Uí Chaoimh at the break: Half-time in the second Cork PSHC semi-final: a blistering finish to the half has given Midleton a three-point advantage, 0-12 to 0-9. Sarsfields were made to pay for a series of poor wides in the second quarter. Midleton’s half-back line have been on top while Conor Lehane has been unerring with six placed balls and added a couple of gorgeous points from play. Sarsfields were 0-5 to 0-1 up after 10 minutes but their return of four points for the remaining 21 minutes of the half was a paltry return. Midleton would have gone into the break four up but for a late Daniel Kearney point.

3.45pm Looks like a hectic start in the Clare SHC semi-final. Less than three minutes in and it's Inagh-Kilnamona 1-2 Sixmilebreidge 0-1.  

Fred Hegarty found the net after 60 seconds. Aidan McCarthy and David Fitzgerald have since opened their accounts. 

The winners will play Feakle in the decider, after a Shane McGrath masterclass on Saturday. 

3.43pm Ten minutes gone in Bandon in the Cork Premier SFC and it is 0-3 apiece between Clon and Nemo. Clon captain Mark White won the toss and elected to play with the strong breeze. All three Clon points - from Conor Daly, including a mark, and Ross Mannix took advantage of that breeze. Eoghan Cormican 

3.42pm Conor Lehane's second point from play brings Midleton level and his fifth placed ball puts them ahead for the first time, 0-9 to 0-8, in the 25th minute. Seven wides already for Sarsfields and some of their decision-making under little pressure has been questionable. Neither goalkeeper asked to do anything other than take puck-outs. John Fogarty 

3.37pm Therese O'Callaghan was present for the first Cork Premier SHC semi-final at Páirc Uí Choimh and has filed this report after Imokilly's impressive victory over the Rockies.  

3.34pm What were you doing in 1988? Joxer was in Stuttgart, Dublin city was celebrating a millennium of existence and Cuala were in their first and only Dublin SFC final. 

The southside side got back to the big one on Saturday as Con O'Callaghan led them to a semi-final win over Ballymun. 

They'll play either Na Fianna or Kilmacud in a fortnight with a first senior football title on the line.  

3.30pm Midway through the first half at Páirc Uí Chaoimh and Sarsfields, who lead 0-6 to 0-3, don't look like a team that have been out of action the past four weeks. James Sweeney has been a great focal point for their attack. Daniel Hogan has three points to his name, two from frees. Conor Lehane also has scored thrice, two from placed balls. John Fogarty 

3.25pm And East Kerry will join St Brendan's in the semi finals, as they edge out St Kieran's 1-14 to 1-12 in a tight tussle in Tralee. That's three of the four semi finalists sorted (Dingle also), with one quarter remaining in Killarney - Dr Crokes v Rathmore in an east Kerry derby

3.23pm So the intriguing - and historic - amalgamation that is St Brendan's are into the last four of the Kerry SFC. They beat Kenmare Shamrocks 0-16 to 0-14. Remember this is a divisional side featuring all three of Tralee's former senior champions - Austin Stacks, Kerins O'Rahillys and John Mitchels. They are being guided by James Costello, the former Kerry minor manager who will be part of Jack O'Connor's senior management team in 2025. Late points from Jack Savage and Paddy Lane get them over the line against Kenmare. Tony Leen

3.20pm The 1992 All-Ireland senior club champions Kiltormer, the home club of Galway’s 1987 and ’88 All-Ireland winning captain Conor Hayes and which also produced brothers Ollie and Tony Kilkenny to those teams, have been relegated to the junior grade for 2025 after losing the relegation play-off against Kilbeacanty by 1-19 to 0-16.

3.19pm In the Galway SHC quarter-finals, Anthony Burns proves the hero for Loughrea as his late goal secured a semi-final spot for the fourth time in five years after a great comeback by a Castlegar side with former Galway manager Mattie Murphy in charge came up just short on a 1-17 to 0-16 scoreline. 

3.18pm From John Fogarty at Páírc Uí Chaoimh; Only late change in the second Cork PSHC semi-final is a Sarsfields one: Aaron Myers replaces Ben Nodwell. A win for Midleton will set up a repeat of the 2018 final against Imokilly.

3.17pm A point from Kerins O'Rahilly's Jack Savage keeps the St Brendan's lead at two - 0-15 to 0-13 - going into injury time against Sean O'Shea's Kenmare

3.08pm Whatever happens today, one of biggest stories of the weekend will be James Stephens' shock relegation from the top flight in Kilkenny on Saturday. 

Brian Cody oversaw his beloved Village side, as defeat to Glenmore in the relegation final, means the city outfit drop out of the top tier on Noreside  for the very first time.
