Cork Gaelic footballer Micheal Aodh Martin has become a well known name in the world of GAA.
He has won honours at both club and county level.

Father Micheal Martin and family life
The GAA star is son of Fianna Fáil’s Micheal Martin. The Tanaiste often steps out with his son to attend sports matches.
Micheal and his wife Mary O’Shea had Micheal Aodh four years after they married and daughter Aoibhe two years later.
Their second son Ruairi was born in 1999 but died just five weeks later from a cot death.
The couple went on to have two more children, Cillian and Léana. But tragedy struck again, when Léana died unexpectedly at the age of seven.
Leana had suddenly developed a cardiac condition just weeks before her death, which came as a terrible shock to the family.
CareerMicheal Aodh plays for Cork Championship club Nemo Rangers. He also represents Cork at inter-county level with the Cork senior football team. He plays in goal for both teams. He made his county debut for Cork in 2016. He replaced Ken O'Halloran in goal for the Rebels, following an 18 point loss at home to Roscommon.
