CORONATION Street fans are predicting a murder after Damon Hay spared Adam Barlow’s life after kidnapping him.
The gangster - who is played by actor Ciaran Griffiths in the ITV soap - made a shock return this week for revenge on lawyer Adam.

But he also wants to get back with Sarah Platt after seducing her and destroying her marriage to Adam.
After being knocked back by Sarah, Damon made the decision to kill Adam himself.
He went back to the wasteland where they were holding him to be told that Adam was having a panic attack - understandably - and that he was struggling to breathe.
As Damon walked over to Adam and cocked his gun, Adam screamed for help.
“Wait!” he shouted.
“I need you to give someone a message. My boy Harry. Tell him I love him and tell Sarah I’m sorry.
“For the baby, for everything. She deserves to be happy. Will you tell her that? Whoever you are.”
Adam’s words worked and Damon couldn’t bring himself to shoot him.

Instead he stormed off leaving his henchmen confused.
“Wait until I’ve gone and then untie him,” Damon ordered.
“We’re letting him go.”
Once he was free, Adam ran to the police station to report Damon, and then confronted him in the street.
“I knew it was you,” Adam shouted as he found Damon about to buy a kebab, like all terrifying villains.
Damon brushed him off but it left Adam furious.
He told Daniel: “I’m not scared of him. I got rid of him once, I can do it again.”
But Corrie fans are terrified for Adam’s life.
One wrote: "Omg Adam’s lucky to be alive"
A second said: "You can't kill Adam... he's done nothing wrong and is too nice!!"
Another added: "Adam's a dead man."
Although, not everyone was impressed with the storyline, with one fan writing: "Wish they would cut out the gangster shit from soaps. It’s beyond boring!"
"So that was an entirely pointless kidnapping plotline then," a second wrote.
