KERRY Culture Night takes place tonight and there are 16 events taking place at venues all over the town.

Kerry County Council Arts Service has worked closely with many artists, arts venues, and communities to bring the people of Kerry a night filled with fun, creativity, and culture.

These events showcase our living culture where people can enjoy music, dance, visual arts, historical talks, street spectacle, fashion, theatre and much more.

Among the events are ‘Our Place’ at Siamsa Tire from 5.30pm. This is a multi-disciplinary exhibition which explores themes of happiness, cultural expression, human rights & belonging.

The installation features an immersive sound artwork, vibrant neon & tactile light artworks & distinct sensory areas.

Mercy Mounthawk has organised a Junk Kouture Kerry Showcase in conjunction with The Arts Council, Culture Night and Siamsa Tíre from 6pm to 8pm at Siamsa Tire.

Marvel at stunning outfits made from recycled materials, designed and crafted by talented students from three Kerry secondary schools.

‘Harmony Through Diversity’ at the Island of Geese is an exciting multidisciplinary event showcasing the students of Munster Technological University (MTU) performance skills and media work.

The evening which begins at 8pm  will include dance, spoken word, and musical performances from a variety of genres including trad, classical and pop.

The ‘Mystic Masters Launch’ is an interactive exhibition and launch of artist Tricia O’Connor’s deck of Visionary Cards. The deck is made up of 22 portraits that painted by Tricia during lockdown and a book that accompanies the portraits explaining the history and story of each.

Come to Hummingbird Studio in Collis Sandes House to see the exhibition and avail of free card readings and get an insight into the artist’s workspace.

The exhibition launch of the Mystic Master oracle card deck will be 4-7pm and free cardings will be available from 6-10pm.
