Alexandra Burke engaged to Irish footballer Darren Randolph

Alexandra Burke has announced she is engaged to her Irish soccer star boyfriend Darren Randolph.

The X Factor winner, 36, and the Irish football star, 37, who have been dating for three years, shared the happy news on Sunday night in a series of pictures and videos.

Darren, who is originally from Bray, got down on one knee in the Rosewood Hotel in London and went all out for the occasion, decorating the place with hundreds of roses before he asked Alexandra to marry him.

The singer looked shocked as she walked out to the surprise proposal, before Darren got down on one knee in front of a love-heart shaped rose installation.

Alexandra shared a video of the special proposal, writing: 'Here's to us forever! I can’t believe I get to marry my best friend/ Bring on the Burke-Randolph wedding. I can't wait to call you my husband.'

She shared a picture of her stunning engagement ring in her video, showing off a square-shaped diamond ring with a double halo of smaller diamonds.

Alexandra and Darren welcomed their first child together in July of 2022 and their second child in September 2023 but are extremely private and have not publicly shared their children's names or genders.
