Martina McBride Shares Rare Photo Of 19-Year-Old Daughter Ava

Country star Martina McBride is celebrating her daughter Ava.

“This girl turned 19 a few days ago. My girl. I love you, Ava,” McBride captioned a recent Instagram post. “I love all the stuff we do together… all the kitchen hangs, the trips to the veggie stand, the talks, the laughs. How we are deeply connected in all the ways big and small. You are wonderfully made.”

In the photo, McBride, 57, and Ava pose cheek-to-cheek. Both women have long dark brown hair and expressive eyes.

“She is definitely your mini-me,” one person wrote in the comments.

Added another, “She resembles you!”

The singer and her husband of 36 years, John McBride, are also parents of daughters Delaney, 29, and Emma, 26. Delaney works as a massage therapist, personal chef and doula, while Emma is pursuing an acting career, according to People.

In 2020, McBride described Ava as “an old soul” and “wise beyond her years.”

“I’ve never met anyone so sure of who she is and what she stands for,” McBride wrote on Instagram.

While chatting with People in 2021, McBride, who grew up on a farm in Kansas, shared that she doesn’t spoil her children.

“I mean, there have been times where I’ve been like, ‘This is ridiculous. My kid has one pair of shoes. Why does she have one pair of shoes?; But I had one pair of shoes when I was a kid, and I was fine,” she said.

Though John is on the same page, “He’ll sneak them a bit of cash, and I’ll be like, ‘What are you doing?’” McBride told the publication. “They have him wrapped around their fingers for sure.”

John, a sound engineer, gushed about his relationship with McBride during an interview with The Boot in 2020.

"She’s my best friend. She’s my partner," he said. "I encourage all my friends to find a farm girl-rock star from Kansas and marry her."
