Passengers are being advised to check with their airlines directly for updates on specific flights.
Dublin Airport insists it is open and operational today, despite many "go around" attempts by aircraft.
Footage of one particular incident online shows a plane attempting to land before having to take off again after approaching the runway at an angle.
The DAA said earlier a total of six flights had been cancelled due to weather conditions at UK and European airports.
Belfast City Airport seems to be the worst affected airport on the island, with Shannon, Cork and Knock operating with minor or no disruptions.
