"Passengers travelling today can expect Dublin Airport to be busy, but additional airport resources are being deployed to help you on your way and to ensure high standards for passengers travelling through.

"For any car park customers delayed as a result of the ATC issues in the UK, we are waiving any additional parking fees they may have incurred. Impacted passengers should speak with a member of staff on the ground or use the intercom facility when exiting their car park."

Ryanair cancels approximately 70 flights across Europe today due to knock-on disruption from ATC failure

Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary said in an update to passengers: "Today, unfortunately it looks like we're going to cancel about another 70 flights. That's a very small number out of the 3,200 that we're planning but that doesn't mean that we're not doing everything that we possibly can to minimise the disruption for our passengers and their families.

"Everyone has received email communications from us through their bookings on what your rights and entitlements are. We're looking to run a couple of additional, extra rescue flights today but it's very difficult because we're tight on crews and aircraft.

"But our teams at every airport and ehre at the ops centre are doing everything we can to minimise the delays and cancellations to flights.

"We hope by the end of today, Tuesday, that from tomorrow we'll be running a normal operation of 3,200 flights with minimal delays but please bear with us. We understand how difficult and inconvenient it is for you if you're caught in one of these flight cancellations or delays. It is sadly outside of our control."
