Gardaí investigating after gun attack on house in Dublin overnight
Gardaí are investigating reports of a gun attack which took place on a house in Dublin on Friday night.
The incident occurred in Bluebell, Dublin 12.
It is understood no people were injured in the incident and investigations are ongoing.
However, a local councillor has said the community is being “terrorised” and residents no longer feel safe.
Sinn Féin councillor Daithí Doolan said: “The gun attack on a house last night in Bluebell was absolutely wrong.
“The Bluebell community was terrorised. Those involved need to be apprehended and face justice. This was an attack on the whole community. Residents no longer feel safe here.
"I would strongly encourage anyone with information to please contact the Gardaí. We need to stand together against these violent criminals.
"The Minister for Justice must immediately respond. She must release adequate resources to ensure a strong visible presence of Gardaí in Bluebell until those involved in this violence are caught."
A garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí are investigating reports of shots fired at a house in Bluebell, Dublin 12 late last night Friday 17th May, 2024.
“No persons were injured and investigations are ongoing.”
