That's all we have time for this evening! What a breathtaking game of football that was. Galway looked second best at times but the Tribesmen came out fighting after the break. Spirited efforts from Cillian McDaid, Matthew Tierney, and Shane Walsh who played through the pain barrier for large periods of that game. Galway have beaten Dublin in Championship football for the first time in 90 years and advance to the final four!

Cillian McDaid receives the Man of the Match award and its fair to say the Galway half-forward was immense with 0-3 from play.

What a win for the Tribesmen! Galway last defeated Dublin in championship action in 1934! Padraic Joyce's men put everything on the line today and richly deserved it.

Con O'Callaghan turns and shoots but it is wide! Will there be more time to play!?

Dublin secure possession from Connor Gleeson's kickout and go in search of a pocket of space but Colm Basquel losses the ball. Have Galway done enough? No they kick the ball away from a free and Dublin have another chance.

Con O'Callaghan cuts the deficit to a solitary point from a free. Padraic Joyce can hardly look as Dublin press Connor Gleeson's kickout.

Sean Bugler panics and surrenders possession. Galway attack and Johnny Heaney sets his eyes on the posts, but the effort is off target. Time is running out however for the reigning All-Ireland champions.

There are 5 additional minutes to play as the clock enters the red.

Galway go in search of a second point in succession but the effort drops into Stephen Cluxton's hands. Dublin now look to work a shooting angle but the pass to James McCarthy is wayward. Tomo Culhane punishes with a potentially match-defining point.

Galway lead for the first time since the second minute of the game as substitute Johnny Heaney knocks over a sublime score. A deafening roar goes up around Croke Park!

Under pressure from Sean Bugler, the Galway wing-back surges through the core of Dublin's defence to restore parity and lift the Tribesmen fans.

Dublin introduce a fresh midfielder in the form of Tom Lahiff.

A great response from Dublin, who have been quiet this half, but Ross McGarry stems the Galway momentum with a swift point.

The sides are level! Galway pick off Stephen Cluxton's kickout and Shane Walsh feeds Cein Darcy who levels matter in Croke Park.

It appears to be Shane Walsh's last action as played through the pain barrier for so long.

A superb score from Cillian McDaid who gathers Liam Silke's pass to smash it between the posts.

Shane Walsh makes no mistake from the resulting free to keep the Tribesmen within an earshot of the current All-Ireland champions.

The Cuala man is brandished with the yellow card but its a bit of a mystery how it has come about. It looked like a textbook tackle on Damien Comer but the full-forward is down with a head injury momentarily.

The towering figure of Johnny Heaney is thrust into the action by Padraic Joyce while Matthew Tierney is called ashore.

Despite the close attention of Sean Fitzgerald, Dublin's Con O'Callaghan bursts free and splits the uprights.

Dessie Farrell opts for a switch in his half-forward line.
