She drew her final breath just as the sun started to rise in Walford and now one fan has pointed out how Lola might have died at the exact same time she was born.
They drew upon information from earlier this year when Lola's mum, played by Patsy Kensit, revealed the exact moment that Lola was born.
Writing on Twitter, the fan said: "Lola’s mum said that Lola was born at 4:23am.
"Jay removed the clock batteries at 3:45am.
"Some time passed with talking/lav break.
"Sunrise in London atm is about that time.
"What’s the betting she actually died at her birth time, just like Abi did?"
Fans have watched for months as Lola battled against the illness but she lost her fight during the latest episode of the BBC soap.

In the tear-jerking scene, the sun streamed through her room as Jay said to her: “Look, the sun’s come up for you.”
As Lexi slept next to her, Jay’s face dropped as he realised that Lola had peacefully died.
He held her hand as he broke down into tears as Lexi woke up.
He said: “I said I wouldn’t leave you, I’m so sorry.”
Lexi hugged her mum as they remained by her.
Watching the episode last night, BBC viewers were left in tears.
Taking to Twitter, one said: “I’m in floods of tears watching this.”
Another wrote: “Crying my eyes out, Lola you will be so missed.”
A third penned: “When I tell you I’m BAWLING… Give Danielle Harold and Jamie Borthwick all the awards.”
The latest show was set overnight as Lola’s closest family and friends came to say their goodbyes one by one.
Linda hosted a lock-in at The Vic for Walford’s residents to gather together and share memories of their precious time spent with Lola as she neared her end.
Jay and Lexi were able to lay with Lola and share some tender one-on-one moments with one another.
As the sun came up on a bleak night for Albert Square, Lola took her final breath as Jay sobbed by her side.
A fox was then seen strolling on the streets outside The Vic after Jay told Lola he could imagine her ‘coming back’ as the animal.
