The festive special introduced Coronation Street actress Millie Gibson as the Time Lord’s new companion Ruby Sunday.
But she wasn’t the only soap star to make an appearance in the thrilling episode.
As the Doctor was seen hunting the goblins that had been terrorising Ruby her entire life, he saved her from being crushed by a giant falling snowman.
However with Ruby and her friends safely out of the way, a woman appeared with a pram and nearly got crushed by it in Ruby’s place.
The woman was played by Belinda Owusu, best known as playing Libby Fox in EastEnders from 2006.
And there were more EastEnders icons to come.
Ruby’s mysterious neighbour Mrs Flood is also played by a familiar face - Walford icon Anita Dobson.

Anita played the legendary Angie Watts from the very first episode before quitting three years later.

The pair were joined by another soap star with Angela Wynter, best known to soap fans as Yolande Trueman.
She plays Ruby’s beloved - and hilarious - grandmother Cherry who couldn’t help but flirt with the Doctor.
