Rapper Eminem joins Ed Sheeran for surprise duet at Detroit concert

Rapper Eminem surprised everyone when he suddenly appeared on the stage and joined his friend Ed Sheeran.

Sheeran was performing on Mathematics Tour at Ford Field stadium in Detroit, which is Eminem’s hometown. He played the impressive acoustic guitar of the song ‘Lose Yourself’ and said that his band practiced it the same morning. But he, along with the people present there was surprised to see that Eminem came to the stage suddenly and sang the duet.

The Slim Shady star was dressed in a pair of jeans and a hoodie, sang on the stage, and encouraged the audience to join him.

Sheeran asked the audience if they want another song and then he sang ‘Stan’, another Eminem chart-topping song. Eminem appreciated the audience and said that he loved them.

Sheeran also sang the verses originally performed by British star Dido. He performed well, belted out many numbers, and said that one can not sing just one song in Detroit.

Ed Sheeran and Eminem have performed together earlier also. Ed Sheeran joined Eminem last November at the 37th Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in Los Angeles. They have also worked together for Eminem’s single ‘River’ and Ed Sheeran’s 2019 tune ‘Remember The Name’.

Earlier Ed talked about his friendship with the rapper and said that The Marshall Mathers LP, helped him overcome his childhood stutter. Eminem’s real name is Marshall Mathers. He also recalled that when he was a child, his uncle gave his father a Marshall Mathers and said that this man is the next Bob Dylan.
