Last week, Emanuel posted some gorgeous pictures of herself posing with her bump as she spoke about her new movie.

The actress told how "life imitated art" in the new film as she played the role of a pregnant woman named Marina.

'ART IMITATES LIFE'

She added: "I still pinch my self here. Also in case you didn’t know, Marina is 8 and a half months pregnant woman in the movie. And here am I , 8 months pregnant, expecting my first child with the love of my life.

"'Art imitates Life, Life imitates Art' I guess that’s how it is. Love to you all."

The beautiful lady wore a black long-sleeved gown with cream stitching on the hemline.

Emanuel beamed as she placed her hands on the bump and turned to face the camera.

BEHIND THE SCENES IN CARRIGSTOWN

By GEORGIA WALSH, Deputy Showbiz Editor

AFTER years of writing about all the happenings in Carrigstown, I finally got to step on to their set as an actor.

I’ve a bit of experience as an extra. I played a wedding guest in Leap Year back in 2011, and when I was 13, I played an orphan in Byzantium. That meant I had to sleep in a coffin beside a young actress called Saoirse Ronan.

But this marked my TV debut, and seeing how hard soap acting really is.

Myself and a few other reporters got to sit in the iconic pub, McCoys, which looked a lot smaller and almost unrecognisable in person as it is set inside the RTE studio.

My starring role saw me sat at the bar, chatting to the barman and another girl beside me.

With my past experience, I had a few tricks up my sleeve, such as miming the word “rhubarb” repeatedly to make it look like I’m talking without making any noise.

I was given a pint of non-alcoholic beer that I pretended to drink, as I wouldn’t be able to even pretend to like the taste — despite all my ‘acting experience’.

Ali Fox (Babs), Mark Asante (Victor), Shane McCarthy (Greg) and Aoife Bawle (Jess) were filming an intense scene while we were in McCoys.

However, the actors talk extremely quietly, so I couldn’t make out what was being said.

The hardest part was trying not to laugh or turn around to see what was going on!

We also got to roam around the outside set, which was bizarre to see as it looks like a real-life town.

It was a fun experience, but I think I’ll stick to writing about the show, instead of being in front of the camera!
