Former Fair City actor Eoin Macken and his girlfriend Emanuela Postacchini are expecting their first child together.

The proud father-to-be placed a protective hand on her baby bump at the Toronto International Film Festival last week.

The Dublin-born actor, 41, who currently stars in two time People’s Choice Award-nominated NBC science fiction hit La Brea, paid homage to his actress partner Emanuela when the pair stepped out at a red carpet event, saying: ‘Ridiculously proud of this girl, absolute rock star’.

He also hinted at the gender of their future child after the couple attended a Variety and Chanel Female Filmmakers Dinner, writing: ‘Lovely evening and dinner with my beautiful girls, Emanuela Postacchini [plus] one,’ along with a winky-face emoji.

A former male model for major US clothing brand Abercrombie & Fitch, Macken, who previously dated the Saturdays singer Una Healy, has been in a relationship with Italian beauty Emanuela for some time now.

The loved-up couple have been pictured snuggling together on romantic strolls around Hollywood as well as getting glammed up for glitzy premieres.

And it seems that Emanuela, 33, is equally taken with her handsome Irish fella, as she posted a picture on social media of the pair nose-to-nose, accompanied by a short but sweet caption: ‘When you know, you know.

Eoin, who previously played drug dealer Gavin Cluxton on Fair City, is in the lead role of Gavin Harris in La Brea, which has run on NBC from 2021 to this year.

The story begins when a huge sinkhole mysteriously opens up in Los Angeles, trapping part of his family in an unexplainable primeval world, along with a desperate group of strangers. Harris spearheads the cast’s panicked hunt to find their missing family members.

The Howth actor, who played Doc in Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, also stars in the new Irish crime series Borderline which is streaming on MGM+.
