Fallen trees and ESB outages in Kerry as Storm Isha hits the county

Hundreds of customers are without power this evening in Kerry and trees have fallen in several locations across the county.
Motorists are warned not to drive if possible as Storm Isha brings high winds and rain to the county.
Council crews are already out responding to fallen trees across the county but as the storm intensifies they may not be able to respond to all incidents.
The general public have been warned to stay away from any damage and in particular fallen power lines.
Tralee and Killorglin have been both badly affected by storm damage this afternoon. James’ Street is closed in Tralee due to slates falling from roofs.
There has also been flooding in the town in the Clash area and there are reports of trees down in several locations including on the Tralee to Listowel road.
Trees were also down in Ballymullen and near McDonalds and council crews have braved bad conditions to clear these routes.
There is also a tree down near Farranfore and also in Killarney on the Port Road in the town and across several locations in North Kerry including Moyvane and Listowel.
Two large trees are down on the L3018 Kilcummin road between the N22 and the junction with the Woodline Road. The road is not passable.
There are also several trees down in Kenmare and one down on the Kenmare to Kilgarvan road near the Flesk bridge. The road is reduced down to one lane.
There is also a tree down on the Bonane road.
Upper Bridge Street in Killorglin has also been closed due to slates falling from the roof.
There are also several ESB outages including in the Glenbeigh area and Valentia with over a hundred customers without electricity. This could increase as the storm continues this evening. Some faults have already been restored as ESB crews respond to reports.
Killarney National Park has also been closed for the duration of the storm amid fears of falling trees.
